Moody-Shearn Residence Hall
Overview
Renovated in summer 2019 with new flooring and lighting, Moody–Shearn is an upper-class coed hall on the west side of campus. It houses approximately 100 residents and three student staff members in two-person rooms with suite-style bathrooms. It is outfitted with community charging stations for laptops and phones as well as seating for students' convenience. A gift of the Moody Foundation of Galveston, Texas, the building is named in honor of entrepreneur and philanthropist William Lewis Moody, Jr., and John Shearn, an early graduate of Rutersville College (one of SU's founding institutions).
